Investing in Family Leisure with Vision, Efficiency, and Customization

When developing a new water park—whether in a public space, a hotel, or a campsite—one of the most common questions is: How much does it cost? But beyond a specific figure, the key is understanding what type of solution is needed, what goals are being pursued, and how that space can become a true lever for added value.

At ISABA, we’ve spent over 35 years designing unique leisure projects for children and families. Every space starts with an idea, a real need, and a technical approach that allows us to tailor each solution to its environment, audience, and available budget.

What Does the Cost of a Water Park Depend On?
The cost of a water park can vary based on multiple factors, including:

  • Usable surface area and site characteristics
  • Target age group and type of play elements
  • Level of visual theming or landscape integration
  • Hydraulic system, water recirculation, and energy efficiency
  • Civil works and installation phase

A Splashpark, for example, is a shallow, water-play solution that is highly efficient, safe, and versatile. It can be implemented in urban areas or tourist accommodations. By eliminating depth-related risks, it becomes accessible to all ages and requires much less water than a traditional pool—reducing resource consumption.

Why Invest in a Water Park
A water play project is more than just an installation: it’s a strategic investment with tangible returns. Some of its benefits include:

  • Activates spaces and enhances user experience in plazas, parks, hotels, or campsites
  • Increases occupancy and guest loyalty
  • Acts as a draw for local or family tourism
  • Opens up new opportunities for intergenerational use
  • Enables the modernization of existing facilities in line with current standards of accessibility, resource efficiency, and design

What If There’s Already a Pool?
A frequent question is whether an existing pool can be transformed into a water play space—and the answer is yes. Shallow pools can be adapted, or play elements can be added without modifying the basin, optimizing both resources and execution time. Floating elements, play structures, and interactive systems can also be integrated in phases.

Safety, Regulations, and Maintenance
All our projects comply with applicable European standards (EN 1176, EN 13451, EN 1069, among others) and are designed to simplify maintenance through automated systems, digital control, durable materials, and sealed fixings.

From the design stage, we also incorporate measures to reduce health risks—such as the proliferation of bacteria—thanks to recirculation, filtration, and easy-to-manage cleaning systems.

Where to Start?
The first step is to clearly define the project’s objective: Who is it for? What space is available? What kind of experience do you want to offer? From there, our team guides you through every stage—from concept design to final installation—with full control of the entire process.

At ISABA, we work with public administrations, hotels, and campsites around the world, developing water leisure solutions that stand out for their unique design, efficiency, and functional value.
